Self-directed Solo 401k FAQ – Do I have to contribute to my Solo 401k?

RESPONSE

No – there is no minimum contribution requirement.

One of the top reasons that clients set up accounts with us is that a Solo 401k has the highest contribution limit for any defined contribution plan available to self-employed individuals.

At the same time, with a Solo 401k there is no minimum contribution requirement so that a self-employed person has the ability to increase or decrease his or her contribution amounts as their self-employment income fluctuates.
