A self-directed IRA IRA LLC may be invested in bitcoin through Coinbase. The following guide explains the process for doing so.
First Open the IRA LLC
Once the the self-directed IRA LLC has been opened and funded, the IRA funded LLC bank account will need to get linked to the Coinbase account which is also opened in the name of the LLC. We have composed the steps below including a “how to guide” that contains all the required steps for using your IRA LLC to fund a bitcoin account with Coinbase.

I want to open solo 401k and having roth contribution into coinbase account. Do I have to have IRA LLC in order to do so or I can have a solo 401k trust to do that? My understanding is I can make employee roth solo 401k contribution for myself (contractor) even my income is over $170k/yr. Does coinbase provide needed forms for tax filing? I don’t expect it to be over 250k now but in the future. In the future, it may.
Thank you.
Best,
Richard
